Yelynn and Sam’s summer wedding at the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland, Washington, was a day filled with joy, connection, and personal touches. Sam and I have known these two for years—Sam even grew up knowing Yelynn—so being a part of their wedding felt really special and intimate. The weather was perfect, and the day was a mix of laughter, happy tears, and those moments that just felt real.
One of the standout features of their wedding was the boat ride the Woodmark Hotel offers during cocktail hour. Guests had the chance to relax on Lake Washington, enjoy breathtaking views, and soak up the summer evening. It was such a unique way to start the reception, and you could tell everyone loved it. The boat ride brought a laid-back, fun vibe to the day, which was just so fitting for Yelynn and Sam’s personalities.
What truly made the day memorable were the personal touches. Yelynn’s mom created all the florals, which added a family-centered and thoughtful feel to the decor. Yelynn’s brother and a group of friends gave live performances that had everyone cheering and smiling. It was clear that a lot of love and effort went into every detail, and it made the whole celebration feel even more meaningful.
As the day came to an end, we were lucky enough to witness an incredible sunset over Lake Washington. It was the perfect way to close out the celebration. This wedding wasn’t just beautiful because of its stunning location or the lovely details, but because of the love and care surrounding every moment.
